Thank you for using Nokia Chat. Now there is a new version available branded as Contacts on Ovi. Even though your current Nokia Chat client still works we recommend you to download the latest Contacts on Ovi files. Your account that was created with Nokia Chat will be used with Contacts on Ovi and all your friends stay unchanged as well.

Nokia Chat is more than just messaging. You can share your status and your location, giving you physical presence! Start a Nokia Chat with your friends with instant and voice messaging and finish it face-to-face. Get together with Nokia Chat.

What is Nokia Chat?
In Nokia Chat, you can chat with your friends, send voice messages to your chat partners, and indicate your availability to your friends. You can also show information about your location to your contacts.

What is the difference between Nokia Chat and other instant messaging clients that I’ve used?
Instant messaging (chat) is familiar from the PC world. Now you can have the same experience with your Nokia mobile device.

What do I need to get started?
To use Nokia Chat, you must have the following:

* A Nokia account, username, and password
* Mobile:
* A wireless data service plan with your wireless operator
* A compatible Nokia mobile device
* The Nokia Chat application on your Nokia mobile device, check which models are compatible
